Infants

Our infant room is designed to have a cozy atmosphere. Our teachers provide a caring and nurturing environment.  We want to make sure that we accommodate the comforts of home while they are away from home.  Our infant schedule is based to meet the needs of each individual child in the classroom.  We continually communicate with parents and keep all updated information on file to meet the changing needs of your child.  We offer developmentally appropriate activities for each child through books, songs and social interaction.

Infant/toddlers

Our Toddler class is designed to help chidren begin to explore the world around them. The teachers allow the structure of a preschool class while still adhering to the freedom that young children need. In this room they will learn colors, shapes, social skills, and many other skills needed for preschool.  Potty training can become also a big focus in this class.  There will be formal assessments done twice a year with the opportunity for a formal parent-teacher conference.  It is always encouraged, however, to speak with your child’s teacher on a daily basis to see how things are going.

Toddlers

Our Toddler class allows children to transitiion from a toddler to a preschooler.  Our teachers focus in this class is to prepare our children to begin their journey as life-long learners.  This classroom will have tons of hands on activities for chidren to begin leaning to explore.  They will be encouraged to disect and interract with the world around them.  Potty training is a major focus in this classroom, as children are also learning to control their own bodies.

Preschool

Our trained and degreed teachers write weekly lesson plans that follow the Ohio State Content Standards. Themes are created allowing the children to explore new skills and ideas. In this classroom children are gaining more independence and realizing learning is fun. They have hands on activities mixed with a structured environment to help the children learn to write their names, do science experiments, identify colors, shapes, letters and numbers. Conferences and assessments are done twice a year, and speaking to your child’s teacher daily is strongly encouraged.

Pre-k

This class is gearing up for kindergarten. Our teacher aligns her lesson plans with the Early Learning Content Standards set forth by the state of Ohio to prepare your child to enter the public school system.  She strives to familiarize her students with skills they will need for school. Children in this room will gain confidence and excitement enabling them to succeed as students. Our High Scope curriculum bases our teaching on the interests and desires of the children in the classroom to keep learning fun and exciting.  Your child is continually evaluated and the teaching is geared around the continuing needs of the chidren in the class.  This will help assure that every child in the classroom is learning at their own pace and that each child is gaining the skills they need for kindergarten.  In addition, your child will receive 2 formal evaluations a year and conferences will be set to help you, as a parent, to continue to improve on what is taught in the classroom.

school age

Our school age classrooms use the cincy after-school cirriculum.  We focus on sciece and math domains, as all chlidren can use extra experiments to aide what they are learning in school.  We have both a before/after school program and a summer program for children in our care.  Our summer focus is to allow your children to explore the world around them while keeping them interested in learning.  Our school year program is designed to help children focus on what they are learning in school, while providing them with homework help and fun activities to keep them entertained while in our care.
